A New Book and a New Web Site
Welcome to our new Web site!
For those of you new to our company and our site, the publishing company name, Chas’ HotBooks, came from the following description of Chas Ridley’s writing:
Helpful Out-of-the-ordinary Thought-provoking Books and more.
We’re very excited about Chas’ new book: Dream Repair Shop - Balm for Hearts, Souls and Funny-bones. It’s available through Lulu.com or from Chas in person or at book events.

Chas asks: Are your dreams shrouded in clouds, battered by life or by a monsoon as in the cover photo? Would you rather they be clearly visible in bright sunshine?
Dream Repair Shop is a collection of prose and poem reminders that dreams help each of us be more of who we are, that sometimes our dreams can benefit from a bit of polish or a thorough overhaul. Come on in, and bring your dreams!
The book begins with
“Dream Stealers”
Dream stealers hide in dark places under rocks of displeasure behind walls of disapproval coated with protestations of love [continued]
and moves through 49 more pieces to wind up with the thoughtful
“Never Forget”
I am a piece of God one of a multitude of pieces of God placed on the earth to explore my gifts [continued]
Along the way we travel with Chas through laughter and tears, friends and family, dreams fulfilled and dreams not yet lived.

Early readers are excited by this book. In some of their words:
“I love this book! ... Chas again is enchanting, creative, witty, thought-provoking. Dream Repair Shop will speak to the heart of some and the soul of others.” Gale Jackson, Motivational Speaker
“Wisdom and whimsy dance elegantly together in this collection. It is not a quiet read ... in a room by myself, I regularly heard: ‘aaah,’ ‘mmm,’ sigh. Delight and awe seeping out as the words soaked in. A delicious read!” Margie Hyatt, minister, West Sound Unity
“Dream Repair Shop is a book to be savored, not rushed.... It’s truly a thought-provoking book, and I feel the author in every page. Chas really poured her heart out for all the world to see in this one.” Carol Cleckler, retired and traveling, living a dream
We had a good run with our previous site beginning in early 1997. Now we’re moving to this site that uses the full name of our company. Look around, let us know what you think of the site and our offerings. I’ll be updating it gradually to include all of Chas’ books still in print, plus the calendars, postcards, more of the custom poems and other bits and pieces of interest.
In the meantime, you can see an overview of some of the other books on the Chas’ Writing page of this site. We are going to put all of these books into production through Lulu.com gradually. Meanwhile, we have enough copies fior the moment.
Come back soon. We will keep adding to this site.
